Welcome to our site, our intention is to provide information, products and services specifically for archiving Email and Instant Messaging. Recent legislation such as HIPAA, Sarbanes-Oxley, FRCP and SEC regulations have made the need for Email and Instant Messaging archive crucial to many organizations. Messaging Solutions has been delivering archive solutions since 2001 and have dozens of successful installations and satisfied customers. We provide archive solutions that will work with Microsoft Exchange, Lotus Notes, GroupWise or other SMTP based email systems as well as Instant Messaging Systems such as Microsoft LCS/OCS, Lotus Sametime and other standards based IM applications. Getting Started!

Before starting an Archive project, it's important to understand exactly what your requirements are. Generally there are four primary reason to implement an archive system and different products will typically perform one or more these functions differently.  The four primary reason for archiving email and instant messaging are:

• To meet specific legal requirements such as Sarbanes-Oxley, FRCP, NASD, SEC, HIPAA or other laws and regulations.
• To improve performance, reduce back-up times or to better manage the constant growth of your email information store.
• To help meet your Organization's document retention policies to retain or delete email after a specified time.
• To provide an on-line backup capability for critical messages by archiving messages constantly into the archival store in real-time.
