Archive One: SharePoint Manager
Overview
Reduce
potential governance and compliance risks for Microsoft SharePoint
Archive One SharePoint Manager helps to reduce potential governance
and compliance risks arising from the growing use of SharePoint for
sensitive, critical and important information.
Archive One provides compliance archives for organizations that use
SharePoint, ensuring that if information held on SharePoint is removed,
destroyed or hidden even unintentionally, it can still be found in a
search.
Changes and updates to SharePoint items and libraries are captured
automatically by Archive One. Data is copied into indexed archive
repositories for long term retention and to provide detailed compliance
search functions.
Archive One repositories may be housed on lower cost storage, away
from the main production system, enabling organizations to reduce the
costs of running the complete SharePoint infrastructure.
Archive One enables administrators to search across all archived
current and historic SharePoint items to find critical organizational
data. Administrators can search for specific matters and evidence to
support or defend against intentional or accidental breaches of internal
policies or external regulations and laws.

Features
- Real Time
With Archive One, changes to SharePoint are monitored
constantly, in real time. Documents and other item, changes or
additions are copied immediately to the archive repositories.
In addition, an automatic review of a complete SharePoint site can
be initiated to capture all the items that reside there at any given
point in time. Used together the real time monitoring and site
review functions enable all of the constantly changing contents of
any set of SharePoint sites to be copied into the compliance
archive.
- Central
Archive
Multiple SharePoint systems can all have their data archived to a
common point. So long term archives can be easily maintained
and backed up. Organizations can freely allow individual
departments to run their own servers while knowing that all
potentially important data is also maintained for on-going
governance.
- Optimize
Storage Utilization
The highest speed storage devices can be implemented for production
SharePoint servers while low cost devices are used to house the
archive. Total costs are reduced as the ever increasing bulk
of historic data is kept accessibly on lower cost hardware.
- Reinstate
old contents
Any items can be retrieved from Archive One and placed back into a
SharePoint site or be placed into any other file structure.
